Day 13:
We went to a little village that was just 20 min away. They had some great olive wood cutting boards, so we all bought one. Colleen was after a long rolling pin as well which she found. There are cute shops everywhere selling pasta and olive wood and cheese and wine and olive oil... we had a great morning wandering around, then mum and dad and jack and Colleen ran up to Montepulciano, and I took the kids home to have fun in the pool. It has been really hot here , mid 90's, so the kids live the pool in the afternoon.
For dinner we went to another little village, this one even closer. Dad asked if I was okay to drive up a dirt road. He failed to mention it was a dirt track up and then back down a mountain. I made it, but slower then dad! Needless to say we took the main roads home. We had a lovely dinner with a gorgeous view. It was Jack and Colleen's last night. It was so good to get to spend this time with them and let them get to know the kiddos better!

Day 14:
Today marks two weeks 'on the road' I can hardly believe it. Today dad and I and Bobbie and Mike are going to a vineyard for a cooking class. We learnt how to make a local pasta called Pici. I cannot wait to go home and try it again! Unfortunately most of them pictures were taken on bobbies phone...we also made a lovely little dessert, something very similar to a tartlet.
It was a really lovely afternoon and we made it home for pool time in the afternoon.
Bronwyn has gotten a lot braver in the pool the last few days.
Living the life!
Day 15:
It is the last day at the villa, mum and dad leave early in the morning tomorrow, and Bobbie and Mike leave soon after. We will be making our way to Rome on Saturday, which I am a little nervous about driving into... deep breaths and it will be okay.
We had a nice relaxing day, we went to visit another small vineyard which was a great way to spend an hour, helped pack up and do laundry, and then spent time visiting by the pool again.
Oliver spent most of this week up a tree, he is covered in scrapes but loving it.
Bronwyn complety gave up on floats and had a great time trying to swim.
Smiles from Lillian!
The last sunset at the villa.
Stay tuned for Rome!
