Lots of pics

Here are a few pictures that have been taken in the last few days.  I try and take lots of them, Lily is so cute I always have the camera ready.

This picture was taken last night, Lily ate peas with a bit of salmon in them.  I read that fish is very good for babies, so we decided to see how she would like it.  She was a MESS by the time we were done, the new taste and texture made her drool even more than normal!  She ate some of it, and wore the rest, but she had a good time eating dinner with us.  She even got desert, peaches-Yummy!

I found these bunny ears in the dollar section of Target, and I had to get them, they are soo cute on her.  I know we jumped the gun, St. Patty's day hasn't happened yet, but she is my little Easter bunny.
Here is Lily outside the kitchen window looking in.  She is leaning against the glass.  We were taking pictures of her outside in her Coastie outfit, and thought that this one was cute of her looking in on Grams doing the dishes.

Here is Lily with my cousin Jake for the first time.  She loved to stare at him.  They did well playing together.

Being silly with Lily

Here are a few silly pictures of Lily.  We were playing on the floor with Aunt Jordyn, and Lily started chewing on her sock, after she had pulled it off her foot, naturally.
She is too cute!
Yesterday she had a strawberry in her mesh baggy, that was a BIG hit.  She also had peaches with her rice cereal for dinner.  They were good too.  We are currently up in North East Texas, close to Nachodochous visiting a good friend of mine.  It surprised to at how much drier it is here than in Houston.
On Friday Lily went for her first bike ride, she slept through the majority of it, but overall I think it was a good experience for her.
If I ever get pictures of Saudi from Greg I will post them on here for all to see.  I guess things are moving along, with Greg's visa, and starting ours.  I need to contact the visa center here and get the medical papers so Lily and I can get that rolling, this is what Greg says to do.  We also need 12 passport photos each!  I wonder what for? Even when we get this done it will be another 3 weeks or so before Lily and I can head over.  We miss Greg terribly and can't wait to get there.

It's been awhile...

Sorry all, it has been awhile since my last post.  We are all doing well, Lily is growing like a weed and I have started working out and watching what I eat, time to get rid of the baby fat!!
On Monday Lily had a doctors appointment, she got three shots and one oral vaccine.  She wasn't feeling 100% for a few days after, but now she is back to normal.  The doctor says that she is right where she needs to be, right around the 50th percentile range.  She weighs 16 pounds, pushing 17 pounds and she is exactly 26 inches long.
Lily is doing so good, we still think the teeth are trying to work their way in, but no pearly whites yet, I heard that the later the teeth come the stronger they are, I hope this is true!  She is sitting up on her own, always curious to see more.  Her bald spot is starting to fill in, and I think this is due to the fact that she no longer sleeps on her back.  Something that she just started this week was flipping over when I put her to sleep on her back.  And tonight she is sleeping on her side.  I just let her figure out what is most comfortable for her.  She definitely has her opinions now.
Today we went to the mall for a few things, and I took Lily to see the play area.  She was mesmerized!  She started laughing and snorting and kicking her feet, I think she wanted to play too.  It was fun to see her reaction to all the little kids running around playing.  She doesn't have any interaction with little kids like that, and I am hoping that when we get to Saudi there will be some little kids she can start to play with and watch.
Tomorrow morning Lily and I are going to Skye with Greg, we are very excited.  I know that Lily misses her Dad, when he calls I put him on speaker phone and she can hear his voice.  She gets very excited!
Greg is doing good, getting used to the long workdays and the different customs.  Hopefully tomorrow he can check out where we might be living.  He has all of his paper work done, so now he can move on to ours.  We hope to be over there soon.
I hope that everyone is doing well, drop me a line if you get a chance.

A late Valentine

We hope that everyone had a great Valentines day yesterday!  We had a pretty good day, missing Greg though.  We went to chickfila yesterday for lunch, and this giant cow came in, it made Lily stop and stare, litteraly!  It was pretty cute to watch.  We went to a Birthday party last night, Lily did good, she visited for awhile and then went to bed.  I woke her up to go home, and she was wide awake, it took me a while to get her to go back to sleep, but she did and slept until 8am, which was nice for me.
Greg sent us flowers for Valentines day.  Lily liked them right away!
Lily being silly, grabbing her feet for her Grams.  She likes playing with her feet!

We have heard from Greg, he is tired, still getting used to the time difference.  It sounds like Saudi is going to be nice for us, he says the compound is green, but the outside is all sand.

Hanging Out in the sun

The other day it was beautiful here.  Lily and I sat outside in the grass with Grampa Bud.  Lily practiced her crawling, scooting everywhere!  She scooted until she could see and touch the grass.

Troubles was also outside, and he had to give Lily a kiss.  Lily likes to watch him as he runs around the house.

Goodbye Greg

We dropped Greg off at the Houston Airport yesterday around 2:30.  He flew out at 4:30 and it sounds like he got off okay.  I just talked to him and he said that it was no problem flying and getting there, everything went smoothly.  He said that customs was a breeze, that Saudi is pretty neat, and a bit humid.  When I talked to him he was sitting on Martins porch drinking a glass of wine, already breaking Saudi Law!   I am excited to go over and see for myself.  Tomorrow he is going to go out and get the lay of the land and let me know a bit more.

We made it to Houston!!

We made it to Houston!!  It took us 16 hours of driving but we made it.  We are settling in well, it took Greg and I a few days to recover.
Lily, our little angel, slept through most of the drive.  We left Denver around 6 pm on Monday, and she didn't wake up until 5:30 am the next morning, we gave her a bottle and she went back to sleep until we stopped for breakfast around 8.  We arrived in Houston around 11 am local time on Tuesday and we were very happy to be here.
Lily was happy to spread out after a long time in her car seat.  It was hot here so she is a happy naked baby!
We are homeless with our baby and all our luggage!  It is a wierd feeling to be in the middle.
On Thursday Great Grampa and Aunt Bobbie came over to Houston and Lily got to meet them for the first time.  Every morning she says good morning to Grampa.
Here is our sunshine baby.  The weather here is very nice, a little humid and warm.  Today we did a few things around the outside of Grams and Gramps house.  Lily liked being outside, we found a cute little hat for her.  She is getting better and better at sitting up, we practice a lot
Lily didn't really keep the sunglasses on for long, she would rather chew on them!  But she sure is cute!
